Our Targeted Exercise Program is an 8 week program aimed specifically for individuals who have identified weaknesses or functional deficits that may be affecting their ability to perform their work safely. The program is run by a Registered Physiotherapist who has particular expertise in body biomechanics. Following an initial assessment to establish a ‘baseline’, an individual program is developed for each participant. Exercises will be progressed on a week to week basis, aiming to improve employees strength, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. Key measures will be taken throughout the course of the program to demonstrate the participant’s progress and a re-assessment is completed at program conclusion to measure results. The advantage of the targeted approach is that we can maximize a successful outcome. A ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach tends to benefit individuals who are already fit and active. By pinpointing the main issues that an individual may be struggling with, we can more effectively address them. It also allows for more personalized feedback, encouragement and progression of the routine. |
