Doctor's Letter

Upon completion of a Job Dictionary, a Doctor's Letter can be developed to clearly outline the physical demands of a particular job role. The letter is a simple 2 page checklist which can be provided to Doctors to assist in the determination of job role specific restrictions (where necessary). The Doctor's Letter can then be used in combination with the Functional Matching Matrix to assist with the determination of suitable duties based on medical restrictions.

When an organisation has several Job Dictionaries / Doctor's Letters, the benefits increase, as a universal Doctor's Letter can be developed which encompasses the job demands for a cross section of the organisational job roles. This provides a clear outline in regards to the potential job roles or specific tasks the worker could perform within their restrictions, and may enable the worker to return to the workplace in a more timely manner.
